Digital Television Broadcasting in the United States

Bill Hayes has presented a revised estimate of digital television broadcasting in the US. He states that several domestic DTV broadcasters have continued to expand their services during 2009 despite facing significant problems. The failure to recognize and take into account how much more congested and noisy the electrical environment has become another major contributing factor to the increasing number of problems being faced by broadcasters. The DTV transition has been and continues to be challenging, as terrestrial broadcasters deal with the changing technologies competition, and audience expectations. The National Broadband Plan has been prepared to deal with these challenges. The National Broadband Plan has been divided into a number of planning teams to address these issues and ensure better DTV broadcasting in the country.
