Rapid Microwave-promoted Synthesis of Zr-MOFs: An Efficient Adsorbent for Pb(II) Removal

摘要
Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) first have been used for the removal of toxic Pb(II). Nanocrystalline Zr-MOFs were synthesized through a rapid microwave-promoted method within 3 min for the first time, having a sphere-like appearance and an average size of 100 nm. The XRD patterns were UiO-66-NH2. The adsorption capacities were remarkably high (135.0 mg g(-1)). The pseudo-second-order kinetic model can well describe the adsorption (R-2 = 0.95356 for yellow MOFs). Zr-MOFs are therefore good adsorbents for the removal of Pb(II).
