摘要
A passive balanced sub-harmonic mixer at Ku band from 12.6-14.4 GHz required for realization of miniaturized RF front-end of Command Receivers is designed and developed. The mixer is realized on 10mil Alumina subtrate using microstrip technology. GaAs Based Beam Lead Schottky antiparallel diode is used for the frequency mixing purpose. The design eliminates the need of high frequency LO requirement and frequency generation chain required in case of fundamental mixer. The designed mixer has conversion loss better than 10 dB with LO-RF isolation better than 60dB.
