Experiments using commercial GPON equipment and optical modules demonstrate feasibility of extending reach of a GPON system using colorless ONTs to 60km, providing 128 subscribers with 40Gbps shared downstream capacity over a single backbaul fiber. (C) 2007 Optical Society of America.
