摘要
A systematic approach to developing mathematical models is presented. The approach applies to problems where (optimal) decisions should be found that lead to maximized benefit or yield, and/or minimized loss or disadvantage. The approach is characterized in that all occurring relations are regarded as functional relationships; the model is developed in the form of a non-cyclic, directed graph of variables where the edges represent functional dependency. Next, Genetic Programming can be used to obtain (approximate) optimal decisions.
