The article is based on the notebooks by Chekhov, specifically on the A. P. Chekhov’s Notebook with the Prescriptions for the Patients, published recently by the author. It contains the data that can serve as the real-life commentaries on certain works by Chekhov, e. g. The Duel, Platonov, The Seagull and Three Sisters. © 2019, Russian Academy of Sciences.
