摘要
This paper presents a smart lighting control system based on human motion tracking. It was well known that the proper illumination and colour temperature depends on human activities. The smart lighting control system, presented in this paper, provides an automatic control of lighting illumination and colour temperature according to human activities. For accurate tracking and estimation of human behaviour, commercial depth cameras are used. Depth information can be acquired independent to lighting condition change from depth camera like Kinects and it is relatively easy to detect human independent of clothing, and skin colours. Therefore, we can estimate activity modes from the human motion tracking results from depth camera. Multiple depth cameras were used to detect human subject motion. Activity modes like study mode, watching TV mode are estimated and controlled illumination and colour temperature of the LED lighting system.
