摘要
The new information and communication technologies and the educational research. Categorical Data Analysis The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of the information and communication technologies on the educational research, and more specifically on the categorical data analysis. From this point of view, the main features of several statistical techniques for categorical data are described: Configural Frequency Analysis (CFA), 3-way Contingency Tables, Log-linear Models, Logit and Probit Models and Logistic Regression, Correspondence Analysis, Categorical Cluster Analysis and Categorical Data Visualization. In all the cases, the software is described and special attention is paid to the open source and free software such as R.
