摘要
The article discusses the social types of ancient Russian philosophers, their place in society and possible options for life trajectories. The “philosopher” of Ancient Russia differs from the type of the ancient philosopher and it differs from the type of the modern philosopher. The Old Russian philosopher is an intellectual, theologian and ascetic who was a social leader. To obtain the status of a philosopher, it was important not only to perform intellectual work, but also to lead a righteous life. © 2021, Rossiiskaya Akademiya Nauk, Institut Istorii (Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of General Hist).
