SERS-activation of smooth surfaces by doping with silver nanoparticles

摘要
SERS experiments were performed on different smooth surfaces of metals and non-metallic materials. A satisfactory SERS-activation of these surfaces was obtained by deposition of silver colloidal nanoparticles after adsorption of 2,2'-bipyridine adopted as organic ligand. The morphology of the SERS-active surfaces has been investigated by scanning electron microscopy. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
