A discrete transfer function model for the time-domain calibration data of EMP sensors

摘要
Accurate measurement of electromagnetic pulse requires the knowledge of the response characteristics of measuring system to pulsed signals. Conventional time-domain or frequency-domain calibration method only provides the sensitivity of the sensors. This kind of information can not describe the pulse response of the measuring system directly and completely. A discrete transfer function model is used here to describe the time-domain and frequency-domain characteristics of the EMP sensors. By using the time history obtained from time-domain calibration, the model of the sensor is established by system identification approach. From the model parameters, sensitivity in each frequency band and the intrinsic frequency of the sensor can be calculated directly. Further application of this method can also give a satisfactory compensation of the measuring system.
