Think Again: The Partnerships of Government, Business and Civil Society

With the development of economy and society, the traditional role of government, which controlled everything, is changing, many of the problems people encountered like the social development, better public service, environment pollution cannot be solved by only one sector. Partnerships of government, business and civil society are entering a new stage of development with an increasingly large number of interactions, which calls for rethinking of their roles. This paper is organized as follows: First, this paper analyses the importance and necessity of the collaboration of government, business and civil society. Second, we give a model of intersectoral partnerships, and point out the links among government, business and civil society: corporate responsibility (CR). Third, this paper analyses the partnership between business and civil society; End at last this paper deals with the partnerships of government, business and civil society, and proposes some challenges in the future.
