THE "APPLICATION" BETWEEN SZONDI AND LACAN. For the Modeling of tragic Problem Cores

Szondi's definition of tragedy allows us to detect infelicitous dialectical structures at the level of action and of figures. The following study describes two traits central to tragedy which point to a dynamically productive virulence in their structure: dialectical 'tragic problem kernels' on the one hand stimulate the production and the connection of further tragic kernels and on the other hand provoke an account of their solution. The "Klage" can be understood as a reaction to such a stimulus in terms of its treatment of the tragic kernels of the "Nibelungenlied", whereby the narrative is undermined by the dialectic itself in the attempt to resolve these kernels. As a consequence there are also reflections of their productive virulent energy in the surface structure, the language, of the text. These tension -filled dynamics of speech can be grasped with the help of psychoanalytic descriptions of interactive speech processes, in particular with the help of Lacan's theory.
