Young adults with Down syndrome as caregivers for the elderly with dementia: An intergenerational project

摘要：
A program is described in which students with Down Syndrome are trained to work with the demented elderly in an adult day care setting. This paper discusses the organization, problems and benefits of this project. Social Workers should be aware that such projects exist since there may be a need for social work intervention during many phases of the project.
