摘要
Using Sim's tube method, direct approximations for the, distribution of the maximum of non-stationary Gaussian random processes are derived. The advantages of the new approach are described. In an example, it is illustrated how Sun's tube method can be used. to compute the upper tail of the extreme value distribution of a discretized earthquake signal.
