摘要
Distribution system planners are constantly looking for ways to meet the increasing load demand without increment in the system's overall cost. The proposed work is aimed at identifying the most economical and practical way to expand the distribution system with the optimal placement and size of DG and capacitors. A genetic algorithm (GA) based multistage distribution network expansion planning modal has been introduced. A backward forward sweep method is used for load flow analysis. The effectiveness of the proposed model is demonstrated through comparative analysis on a typical IEEE 9-bus radial distribution test system.
