Regional economic development is an important phenomenon in today's world in economic development Chinese regional economic development can be divided into four regions, including the eastern region, the central region, the western region and the northeastern region On the whole Chinese regional economic development is unbalanced, the eastern region being the best and other regions including the central region being relatively backward This paper analyzes the status quo of the regional economic development in the central region, and then for its backward situation put forward countermeasures to promote economic development in the central region
