In about twenty years telephone marketing turned into a prosperous service industry in Germany, High margin services based on the combination of services, EDP and telecommunications lead to an upswing in demand, Call centers derived profit from this trend, The operation of call centers requires-besides financial resources-a high standard of technological and human resources, Both aspects are subject of this paper.
