An experimental and simulation study on performance of solar-powered floor heating system

摘要
Performance of a solar-powered floor heating system serving Was studied. This system utilized a 96m(2) solar collector array as heat source and servers an office area of 170 m(2). Experiments have been going on from Dec 2006 to Mar 2007 under various conditions, and the result showed that this system runs well during that winter with average room temperature maintained above 16 degrees C except for continuous overcast days. A computer program was developed to simulate system performance in variant conditions, and it showed that solar radiation and initial hot water temperature had more significant influence on system performance than other conditions. A great thermal lag was also observed in this system, which seriously reduced indoor temperature. By adjusting system control strategy, the negative influence of the thermal lag was eliminated with indoor temperature 1 similar to 2 degrees C higher.
