Panel Sessions

The panel sessions at MTT 2010 will discuss issues of contemporary interest to the MTT community. The sessions will cover topics such as use of silicon at higher frequencies, the utility of on die synthesized inductors, the need to standardize attributes of RF and microwave components and assemblies, and 60 GHz WiGi. The discussions will study an accurate estimate of the ultimate production of oil, gas, and coal that would be helpful for the ongoing policy discussion on alternatives to fossil fuels and climate change. Synthesized inductors can be achieved using active elements with the techniques such as microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and sampled analog finite impulse response (FIR). Panels are also aimed to explore the need for standards for RF and microwave components and subassemblies and address the reliability issues associated with GaN discrete devices and MMICs in RF applications.
