Performance Evaluation of Medical Image Retrieval Based on Simplified Multi-wavelet Transform

摘要
Medical images retrieval is import for the clinical medicine. We propose a novel medical images retrieval method based on simplified multi-wavelet transform which is divided into two procedure, i.e. coarse retrieval and fine retrieval processing. The coarse retrieval is accomplished mainly based on the scanning line method at first. Then, the fine retrieval is accomplished mainly based on simplified multi-wavelet transform. The method not only effectively use the whole approximate information of the original image, but also reasonably reduce the amount of data involved in retrieval procedure. We demonstrate experimentally that proposed method is effective for medical images retrieval.
