The best solution of the automatic train control system in high frequency and high speed train operating lines

摘要
East Japan Railway Company has developed a new train control system which is suitable for high frequency train operating lines like the Tokyo metropolitan area and high speed train operating lines like the Shinkansen lines. In these train operating area a stable and reliable system is required as a train control system. It shall also assure passengers to ride well. In addition, it shall spend lower cost than ever to introduce and maintain in terms of company management. Reviewing the conventional Automatic Train Control (ATC) system drastically, we have developed a new ATC system adapting latest information technology for around 10 years, and have started to utilize it from 2002 to 2003 in turn.
