摘要：
The main Renewable Energy Sources (RES) which are interesting for agriculture and food industry applications are: solar, wind, biomass, hydro and geothermal energy. Theoretical and technical potential for these resources are discussed based on their evaluation. Creation of a future RES market for agricultural purposes in Romania could be determined by: specific technological processes in agriculture and food industry for which solar thermal could be used, greenhouses, irrigations, uses of straw and other agricultural by-products in biomass boilers for heat supply of farms and small villages, possible uses in livestock. An overview on these RES applications is presented. It is discussed too, the basic ideas for potential production of bio-fuels in the Romania case.
