摘要
The studies concerning all the elements of the chain necessary to store dense beams of muons in a 50 GeV storage ring to produce up to 10(21) neutrinos/year are reviewed. Different scenarios are examined, their performance is compared whenever possible and the main difficulties inherent to each of them are emphasized. Alternate proposals are mentioned.
