摘要
This article explores the reception of economic phenomena such as business speculation and Misuse Of public office for private gain in the nineteenth-century Greek State. The correlation of entrepreneurial speculation and Corruption in the Greek State is identified mainly through the analysis of the testimony of three key figures, businessmen. The emergence of a new type of businessman ill the Greek State, who was willing to take risks and be instrumental in bringing new ideas to individuals/groups or the goverment, created a new public critique through literature and journalism.
