This article deals with the study of unsteady mixed convection of an incompressible, homogeneous, electrically conducting, viscous fluid past an infinite porous vertical, nonconducting plate in a rotating system. The analysis is carried out under the conditions that (1) the plate is embedded with time-dependent porous medium, (2) the plate is subjected to a time-dependent normal suction velocity, (3) the flow is driven by a constant heat sink, and (4) a uniform magnetic field is applied normal to the flow. Using the perturbation technique, the solutions of the governing equations are obtained and illustrated graphically. The skin friction and rate of heat transfer at the plate are derived and discussed, and their numerical values for various physical parameters are presented in tables.
