摘要
Paleozoic cross-section of the Low Volga region is: divided into three carbonate formations which are separated by the terrigeneous members. Karst processes in carbonate reservoirs took place during some periods of Paleozoic and Early Mesozoic when high porosity zones had been formed. Now these zones have been detected by falling down of drilling instrument and circulation losses. Examination of the high porosity and permeability zone distribution shows that there is a close relationship between their location and the Neogene-Quaternary tectonic activity. This is a base for the integrated tool for prediction quality of reservoirs and quality of seals which includes tectonic, hydrogeoloical and geomorphological parameters. The reservoirs are favorable for liquid waste storage if they have acceptable permeability properties and high quality seal for injecting zone.
