AN AGE OF POLITICS? STATE OF THE MATTER OF COMMUNICATION STUDIES AND POLITICAL INFORMATION IN MODERN IBERIAN SOCIETY

Studies on the impact and circulation of policy in the modern age society, have limited their expansion to a small number of people nearest to the great courtiers versus traditional "indifference" of the ordinary people. However, thanks to the renewal of the political historiography, it has found an interesting field of political experiences that reveals a perceptible expansion of the political information also among "ordinary people". In our opinion, we believe it is appropriate moment to evaluate the development of this historiographical phenomenon, why we propose this critical and analytical assessment of the most relevant bibliographic production on the Iberian society of Old Regime.
