摘要
Herbarium is a collection of dry plants with a scientific function of preserving and conditioning specimens duly collected for scientific and educational purposes, as well as maintaining scientific communication among the taxonomists of the world. The objective of this work was to create a mini-herbarium as a didactic resource in a school of the basic network in Aracaju-SE, to facilitate the learning of the contents of Botany, as well as to allow students to recognize the importance of preserving diversity, from the acquired knowledge. For this, two groups were formed composed of students of the 7th grade classes (A and B). The project was developed in four stages: the first stage was the visit to the school; In the second stage there was an explanation of what a herbarium is and its importance, where the first contact with the students occurred; In the third phase, the group visited the ASE Herbarium and the botanical material was collected around the UFS Department of Biology, and finally, in the fourth and last stage, there was a training workshop with the students In the explanation it was reported about the procedures performed in the field, as well as the intended objectives. During the visits to the UFS, the students observed the procedures of herborization. After this, two collections were performed at UFS, the first collection was with 7th grade A and the second day was collected with 7th grade B, and at the end the workshop was held at the school with both classes together, at which time it was made the assembly and identification of botanical material. Given the results obtained, it was observed that different activities associating theory with practice work as an excellent tool to arouse the students interest, as they showed involvement during the work.
