Status and Tendency of HW Landfill Technology in China

摘要
The status of hazardous waste (HW) landfill technology in China is discussed in this article, and we can deduce that in the future the FEW landfill development should face some key technical problems such as site selection, design and construction quality control, and landfill operation safeguard techniques. The tendency of HW landfill development must focus on the harmonious coexistence between the human and nature and prevent the waste output from the beginning. The Institute of Solid Waste Management (ISWM) is also introduced which has powerful scientific research capabilities about the HW landfill technology, especially the landfill operation safeguard techniques. ISWM had succeeded in developing the key equipment and provide technical and decision support to HW landfill disposal and control in china.
