摘要
A review is presented of results from studies in the UK and other countries which have reported the effects of forestry on low flows. The effect is shown to depend on the stage in the forest cycle. Pre-planting drainage often results in an increase in the low flows if more than 25% of the catchment is drained. Forest growth decreases the low flows in all but the driest years while clearfelling increases low flows initially followed by a gradual decrease depending on the rate of vegetation regrowth.
