Attention to Ability-training in Higher Education

Higher education should not only teach students specialized theory knowledge, but also offer them ability of analyzing and solving practical problems. Improving the ability of students will reduce the employment pressure, and lay the solid foundation of long-term development of students. The paper analyzes the important role of ability-training in higher education and presents methods that help to improve student ability. The methods include changing traditional education ways, adopting scientific learning methods, and encouraging students to attend social practice actively. Our teaching experiences show that these methods are very useful in enhancing practical ability of students.
