Synthesis and characterization of thermotropic liquid crystalline block copolyesters

摘要
The intermediate (I), polymethylene bis(p-ethoxycarbonyloxy benzoates), was prepared from solbrol and hexandiol by melting transesterification reaction. The block copolyesters with different block length were synthesized from terephthaloyl dichoride, hexandiol and (I). The structure and compositions of these block copolyesters were analysed by FTIR and H-NMR. The liquid crystalline behaviors of the block copolyesters were characterized by DSC, POM.
