摘要
Pan, S., 2011. Modelling beach nourishment under macro-tide conditions. Journal of Coastal Research, SI 64 (Proceedings of the 11th International Coastal Symposium), 2063 - 2067. Szczecin, Poland, ISSN 0749-0208 This paper presents a novel method to deal with the mixed sediment transport, which has been implemented in a process-based morphological computer model. The model was applied to study the sediment transport of a beach nourishment scheme in the area with presence of a pair of shore-parallel breakwaters located at different nearshore locations. The results show that the mixing of coarser nourished sands and finer native finer sands can be reasonably modelled. The dynamically updated sediment size is used in computing the sediment transport and the resulting bed level changes for a duration of 105 hours. The results show the strong interactions between waves, tides and nearshore structures. The new approach improves the accuracy and efficiency in modelling sediment transport with mixed sediments of the beach nourishment scheme and beach responses. The results also show the significant impacts of tides on beach morphology.
