摘要
Presently machine tools are available in various axis configurations that vary from the conventional type of three orthogonal linen axes to the one with both linear and rotary axes. The usage of 5-axis machining centers has been increasing in recent years due to the demand for higher machining efficiency and the need for the complexity of the components to be machined. The contouring accuracy of a machining center (MC) is considered to be one of the most crucial features especially for machining mold components. In this study, the DBB device was employed to measure 5-axis machining centers. In particular, the measurement procedure for rotary axes was proposed.
