摘要
The Conversational Diagnostic Agent (CDA) project entais the development of a diagnostic software component of an intelligent tutoring system. Specifically, this software is intended to work with students who request tutoring help. The CDA will converse with each student through a series of questions and tasks to diagnose any weakness in skills. It then will link the student to appropriate remedial instruction. Although the idea of intelligent tutoring systems is not new, ITS has struggled to make an impact-primarily due to the brittle nature of the systems. Our project creates a practical tool that can be used at universities nationwide.
