摘要
Starting from the Celtic etymology of a personal name from the Roman period in Forua, Bizkaia (Spain), Quno 'Dog', the article brings together all the attestations from the Iberian Peninsula that may be related to the same Celtic word. Afterwards, it analyzes the non-Latin divine- and personal-onomastics from that Spanish province and reaches the conclusion that this evidence confirms what we knew about that territory from other sources, e.g., that some Celtic language was being spoken there immediately prior to the coming of the Romans and during an uncertain period of Roman rule.
