LANDSCAPE ANALYSIS OF THE TOP COURSE OF JAIBARAS RIVER HYDROGRAPHIC SUB-BASIN: IBIAPABA PLATEAU AND IN ROSARIO SIERRA

摘要
Jaibaras river hydrographical sub-basin is a tributary with a high potentiality in the left bank of the main river, Acarau. It drains nine municipalities and delivers multiple uses of its water to the people who depend of it. The area considered in this essay is the one on the top course of Jaibaras river hydrographical sub-basin, which covers the cities of Sao Benedito and Guaraciaba do Norte (in Ibiapaba plateau) and the district of Jordao in Rosario sierra, place this that belongs to Sobral. On both top courses, three tributaries in Ibiapaba plateau were visited and one of them is in Rosario sierra, in the district of Jordao. The methodology used to produce this work was based on field trips directed to the achievement of records, what along with the geosystemic method, made possible to understand the relation of the humans' role regarding the modification in landscapes on the top courses, which consequently influences along the course of Jaibaras River hydrographical sub-basin.
