摘要
The purpose of this paper is to analyze public health policies for people imprisoned in the State of Rio de Janeiro and their impact on coping with the coronavirus pandemic. The problem to be faced is: what measures have been taken to mitigate the effects of the 2019-nCoV pandemic in relation to the right to health of prisoners in the state of Rio de Janeiro? And secondly: how can the lack of a public health policy in prison impact society in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic? To this end, a quali-quantitative research was developed, based on documentary sources, on prison figures, on the impact of COVID-19 in the world and its possibilities of coping, as well as an analysis of the measures that have been adopted in Brazil and, especially , in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
