摘要
The research presents the analysis of literature and network sources, the study of purpose and capabilities of the most popular CAD software tools used in the packaging industry. The effectiveness of the commissioning of packaging CAD-systems is proven by the example of many enterprises. The application-dependent software makes an integrated design with simulation of a complete production cycle possible: from the automation of the packaging design, 3D-modeling, prepress, imposition, drawing generation for punch manufacture to platemaking and facilities management that simplifies work of specialists at all stages of production. The integration of structural and graphic files with manufacturing files allows one to find out and correct errors in the project at the stage of its development before production startup. The generalization of practical experience in the use of software for design, simulation, process engineering suggests an idea about efficiency of its implementation to improve profitability of products, production and the enterprise as a whole.
