摘要
It was the aim of this work to explore the effects of the Gough Dissimulation Scale revised (Ds-r) oil the MMPI-2 clinical scales, in comparison with the usual validity scales. To achieve this, two groups were Used: the control group, composed by normal (n = 242) and clinical (n = 263) subgroups, which answered to MMPI-2 according to standard procedure; the experimental group composed by three subgroups with different answer instructions: giving a good image (n = 278) giving a had image (n = 267) or giving an inconsistent answer (n = 200). Data analysis indicated that the Ds-r scale was able to detect the expected effects (fake good, fake bad or inconsistent attitude) on the clinical MMPI profile. Results obtained seem to be similar to the ones showed by F scale (Infrequency).
