Analysis of Field Deviation in Radiated Emission Measurement at Frequencies up to 60 GHz

摘要
Increasingly demanding for bandwidth and high data speed in wireless communication industry stimulates the operation frequency extending to higher band of the spectrum. This makes the radiated emission measurement facing challenges. At the high frequencies, the distance between the receiving antenna and the equipment under test (EUT) may not satisfy the far field radiation condition. Consequently, the field received at the measurement points specified in standards differs from the field at the actual wave front. The deviation between these two fields magnitude is analyzed in the frequency range of 1 GHz - 60 GHz for two typical dimensions of EUTs, as the receiving position varies from 0.8 m to 2 m. Obvious magnitude differences between E-field at the receiving position and the one at the wave front are observed in the analyzed results.
