In 1980, John Dunning has published an article on foreign direct investments and the level of a firm desire to be involved in the internationalization process, which in his view, depends on three factors: the location, ownership and internalization advantages. It should be noted that Dunning himself points out that while individual companies are used to illustrate the paradigm, its main focus is to explain international production by all firms in a country or group of countries. However, this article aims to analyze the effects of the internationalization process of Dow Chemicals, through the eclectic OLI Paradigm.
