摘要
The surface structures of Mo(110) induced by oxygen adsorption were examined by reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED). Three kinds of one-dimensional surface structures induced by oxygen were discovered at a high oxygen coverage region. Two of the one-dimensional structures showed their periodicity along the Mo[001] orientation and their periods were 2 times and 6 times as long as that of the Mo atomic row perpendicular to the Mo[001] orientation. The other one-dimensional surface structure showed its periodicity along two equivalent directions (Mo[<(1)over bar 13>] and Mo[1(1) over bar3$]). The period of this structure along the Mo[<(1)over bar 13>] orientation was 11 times as long as the separation of the Mo(<(2)over bar 26>) planes.
