A MONTE-CARLO ALGORITHM FOR THE ZENER DRAG EFFECT IN THE Fe-3%Si MAGNETIC ALLOYS

摘要
In classical Monte-Carlo simulation of abnormal grain growth (AGG), the microstructure is generally assumed to be homogeneous in size. In order to introduce the influence of the morphological and crystallographic neighbourhood inhomogeneities around a Goss grain on its AGG, the simulation procedure has been implemented using as starting state a real microstructure of grain oriented Fe-3%Si sheet characterised by Orientation Imaging Microscopy (OIM (TM)). This abnormal grain growth in textured material such as Fe-3%Si seems to be controlled by the preferential interaction between AlN and MnS precipitates and grain boundaries. This preferential particle effect is introduced directly in the simulation procedure through a limiting curvature radius Rc.
