摘要
For the last few years, metal-organic frameworks became a popular material for biomedical applications. Numerous metal-organic frameworks have proven to transport effectively a variety of molecules inside their pores. However, the sorption of high molecular weight drugs is limited by the small pore size. Here, we demonstrate the possibility for metal-organic frameworks use in simultaneous encapsulation of a drug and nucleic acid molecules. To realize this concept the nanoparticles were modified via a multilayer polymer coat. The co-delivery of the drugs was confirmed via fluorescent microscopy and flow cytometry. The proposed vector might be a promising tool for drug delivery and targeting the different cell signaling pathways.
