Numerical investigation of velocity field in dividing open-channel flow

摘要
This paper provides details of application of FLUENT-2D&3D software in simulation of lateral intake flows. Comparisons have been made between numerical results and measured experimental velocities for a lateral intake. Comparisons indicate that the 2D simulating captures most experimental trends with reasonable agreement and 3D simulating results have also good accuracy.
