ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION AND MANAGEMENT APPLIED INTO A MACHINE-TOOLS MANUFACTURING PLANT

The paper presents some regulations (i.e. norms, standards) necessary for the efficient application of the environmental legislation and management into a machine-tools manufacturing plant, especially concerning the industrial emissions (i.e. wasted solids, wastewaters, and gases). The collection of reliable data of machine-tools production, quality of industrial emissions, industrial waste produciion and characteristics, real environmental balance, impact and risks, pollution prevention scheme are important key issues for environment protection, sustainable industrial production and consumption. The right application of environmental legislation and a sustainable industrial development can highly involve the voluntary adoption of an environmental management system (EMS), and confirms the efficient effects of an environmental attitude (EA), an employee involvement (El), and a concrete solid environmental knowledge (CK).
