摘要
Poverty has once again become a legitimate subject of social policy discussions in the Czech republic. These discussions have raised, as in other developed countries, the questions of how to measure poverty. This article firstly describes the various possibilities foreign economists and sociologists usually use to define and measure poverty. In the second part, it applies the Leyden Subjective Poverty Line method and brings data on Czech subjective poverty. The structure of the Czech subjective perception of poverty is finally compared with structures of subjective poverty in Sweden and Australia.
