Design and Implementation of an Open Data Assisted Real-Time Trip Planner

摘要
Since the government data is credible, plentiful, and relevant to citizen, the government disclosures part of its data as government open data to stimulate the development of public applications [1]. The trip planning application providing as the best path for the trip [2] draws the most attention for people. In this article, we proposed a real-time trip planner system assisted with government open data, and presented a path selection scheme based on the provided data. Besides, we designed different user interfaces - WebUI and AppUI for stationary users and mobile users, respectively. Based on the requirements from users, the trip planner system would reply all the candidate paths in a descendant traveling time order back for users' references.
